THE FICTION (2001-2005)

As our European tour comes to an end, so does our band. First we must give a big big big thank you to Felix, Ines, Steve C, Evan, Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep, Kaospilot, all the wonderful people that put on all the shows for us this summer, fed us, let us stay at their place, watched us play, played with us, etc… thank you so much for making our last tour exceed far beyond our expectations. I don’t think any of us ever thought we’d ever get to tour overseas when starting or joining this band. I personally see this as an enormous milestone in all three of our lives. This is something few people get to do and we are forever grateful for having the opportunity, and being around so many people that supported us to such an extent. So thank you so very very much.

As for the hovering question of “why break up?” After 4 years, 4 tours, over 100 shows played, 6 records, over 1,000,000 high fives, we all mutually agree that it’s just time to put it to bed. This band has been a massively positive experience in all three of our lives for the past four years and we just wanted to end it on that very same note. All good things must come to an end so why not go out on top? We will be playing one last show at the end of September in our lovely city of New York. Things are still being worked out as far as date, place, and line up, so I’ll keep those who are interested in coming posted. We will hopefully have a singles/comp tracks collection CD out sometime in 2006. The split with Kaospilot is looming somewhere in the future too.

But fear not, our respective fingers are still in various musical soups. Marc is doing vocals for Drugs, Dima plays guitar in REDS and Bass/Vox in Puppies, and Colin will no doubt start a kick ass band soon that will surly knock your teeth out.

Thank you to everyone who supported us in the past four years. This has truly been a wonderful experience. We hope you enjoyed it too.
